A Safety recall has been issued in the USA for certain models of:
The Whistler Group, Inc. Jump & Go Portable Jumpstart Power Supply
The lithium battery can overheat and melt, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Power supply units manufactured with date code stamps 201404 through 201439 are affected. (date code found on back of unit). (Units with date code stamps 201440 or GREATER are not included in this recall) A link to a PDF document that shows you how to identify it is located at the bottom of this blog.
If a customer discovers he has the identified date code, he is to STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY, and call Whistler toll-free at: 1-855-667-9081 Between 8am – 5pm CT, Monday through Friday for free replacement. Also visit: http://www.whistlergroup.com
